As a parish family, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we will work to build God's Kingdom by creating opportunities for our parishioners, our community and our visitors, to encounter Jesus in a life-changing way, to set their hearts on fire with His love and to challenge them to become fully engaged disciples.
RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, the process by which adults ordinarily become full-fledged Catholics. It is primarily a process but one that is filled with Rites, ceremonies and celebrations with prescribed words and focus. Each state of the process is ritually celebrated, that is, recognized with special prayers and liturgical ceremony in the presence of the worshipping community. The RCIA focuses on Christian initiation of adults through the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, ordinarily celebrated in a single liturgy during the Easter Vigil. The RCIA program consists of a team of people who help those seeking Sacraments in the Catholic Church through Catechism, personal sponsorship and community friendship which will help them grow in their understanding of the Catholic Faith and help them to nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which is the focus of our faith.
